Designed by Steven Smith and first introduced as a attainment basketball shoe, the New Balance Herren 2002RX in Grau Blau was first released in 1989 as a low-top alternative to the New Balance 650. It was brought back in 2020 through a collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore, and staying true to its roots, the 550 features a perforated leather upper, breathable mesh lining, and a durable rubber sole unit. Although the shoe faded into obscurity in the past, the 550's newfound success shows that it's here to stay.
