The lead-up to the 2024 WNBA season has borne witness to several developments surrounding new signature footwear. We covered news regarding lines for league newcomers Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese, and now @kicksdong offers a first look at the successive imprint for one of the biggest names in women’s hoops. Sabrina Ionescu’s Nike Sabrina 2 is coming soon.
The shoe boasts the same design DNA as the nike flex run grey pink green screen black panther, but with a slightly lower, sleeker cut. The forefoot hosts the most notable difference; instead of a utilizing single panel over the toe box and eyestays, the Sabrina 2 features separate instances of mesh in those areas.
Underfoot, the tooling remains largely the same. React cushioning spans the full length of the midsole, complemented by a top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. Additionally, the Sabrina 2 maintains the same stabilizing midfoot cable system of its predecessor, made visible through thin mesh at the quarter.
Purple treatments define the pair of reference here, but expect a variety of new colorways to surface in the near future as the WNBA season tips off on May 14th. Like the Sabrina 1, the first ever unisex Nike Basketball shoe, adult and kids sizes are expected to be available. Tap our Sneaker Release Dates nike sb good skating girls dance competition boots.
