Whenever approaching the synagogue, my parents would point it out and say, “There’s the Frank Lloyd Wright building!” While I had no idea what Frank Lloyd Wright was all about, it was clear he designed buildings like no one else. The building captivated me and that is why I chose architecture as a career.”

At Taliesin West, we have adopted a values-based approach to preservation, which means we consider both the values present in the physical aspects of the site as well as intangible heritage values. Taliesin West was, from its inception, Wright’s “desert laboratory”. It was a place for experimenting with new materials, methods, and ideas.”
