The New York Road Runners (NYRR) RBC Brooklyn Half has been recognized as the largest half marathon in the country for the last two years, touting a record-setting 28,000 participants in 2024. Now in its 43rd year, runners will once again embark on a 13.1-mile journey through Brooklyn on Saturday, May 17, starting at Prospect Park (the same spot that the NYC Half, also organized by NYRR, kicks off) and finishing on the famous Coney Island boardwalk. Pretty cool, right?

Accepted runners were notified earlier this month following a much-anticipated drawing, but if you didn’t make it, there’s still another opportunity available for Runner’s World+ members to join in on the fun this spring. How can you get selected? Easy. We’re looking for RW+ members with various running experiences who would like to race the Brooklyn Half with us this May and are ready to take on a 10-week training plan, kicking off on March 10. We will provide the training plan and our editors and experts will chime in on nutrition, workout, and recovery tips. We’ll help you run your first, most fun, or hopefully best half marathon ever!
