New Balance x Jaden Smith Vision Racer Purple

New Balance teams up with Jaden Smith this season, creating an entirely new model that conforms to Smith’s eco-conscious initiative. The result is the Vision Racer, and it’s bold. Not just bold for the usually refined footwear brand. Bold by all definitions. It’s inspired by two of Smith’s favourite New Balance models – the X-Racer and the 1700, the latter of which the young multi-hyphenate discovered on a trip to Japan – and covered entirely in a soft purple hue. The biggest, and most important, feature (besides the split chunky sole) is the sustainable materials used throughout. A part-recycled polyester and synthetic suede upper is teamed with a reground EVA foam midsole to provide performance-inspired visuals while keeping considerate of the environmental impact of production.
