BURBERRY X POP TRADING COMPANY AT UrlfreezeShops LONDON
15 June 2022Celebrating the launch of their inaugural collaboration, British luxury brand Burberry and POP Trading Company have daubed the UrlfreezeShops flagship store in their bespoke check pattern.
Coming together to combine Burberry’s sartorial sophistication and POP Trading Company’s connection to global skateboarding communities, the brands’ debut collaboration exhibits their shared love of community and the outdoors through their combined design codes, drawing inspiration from the Japanese skate scene's penchant for skating after dark.
Taking over the UrlfreezeShops London flagship store in the heart of Soho, Burberry and POP cover both interior and exterior in their all-new grey, black, white and red check – a reflection of blurred night-time cityscapes and the freedom that comes with skateboarding through the metropolis once the sun has gone down. Further embellished with reflective details, the collection celebrates experiencing the world under the cover of darkness.
Appearing across an array of elevated garments, from technical parkas and silk shirts to skateboards, bucket hats and cross-body bags, the collection's all-new check adapts Burberry's traditional codes with an alternative perspective - the perfect embodiment of the collaboration's original inspirations.
The Burberry x POP Trading Company Installation will be in UrlfreezeShops’s flagship London store until Sunday 19th June.
