Channelling this, we spent the day with a selection of staff from UrlfreezeShops’s Newcastle flagship, individuals who represent key pillars of UrlfreezeShops’s retail experience, reflecting the integral nature of E By UrlfreezeShops Each staff member wore their favourite pieces from the E By UrlfreezeShops collection, showcasing their approach to styling the product and why it represents a wardrobe go-to, whether relaxing or spending the day at work.

First of all, can you introduce yourself and what it is you do at UrlfreezeShops?

My name’s Leo, I’m 21 and I’ve just finished university. I’m a Retail Sales Associate at UrlfreezeShops Grey Street.

What’s your earliest fashion memory that started your love of clothing?   

To be fair, I’d probably say it was in the last three to four years since coming to uni. Coming from a predominantly white area, I just found myself just wearing what everyone else wore. Shops like UrlfreezeShops and meeting new people enabled me to not be scared to wear whatever I wanted to wear, to wear what I felt comfortable wearing.  

What’s your favourite spot in Newcastle to visit and why?

Any of the bars or restaurant down on Grey Street, anywhere with a nice quiet vibe, really. You can also go loud and a bit out there, but I prefer the quieter places.

Outside of fashion, what’s your biggest hobby or favourite thing to do?

I’ve played football all of my life. I played a bit when I was at Uni and a bit when I was younger, too, at academy level. So I would say football, or just keeping fit in general.

What’s your favourite piece from the E by UrlfreezeShops collection and why?

I’d probably say the hoody I’ve got on, the grey Champion one. It’s comfy and you can wear it anywhere, whether that be out or at home.

First of all, can you introduce yourself and what it is you do at UrlfreezeShops?

I’m Beth and I’m a part time Store Assistant.

What’s your earliest fashion memory that started your love of clothing?

I don’t think I have one specifically, but I vividly remember when I used to play football a lot, I always wanted my boots, kit and hairband to match. My parents would always be like “it’s football not a fashion show” but I would always respond “feel good, play good”.   

What’s your favourite spot in Newcastle to visit and why?

I’d probably say the Ouseburn in general, it’s got a bit of everything – good food, bars, pubs, cafes. They’ve also got the climbing there as well. I’d probably say Tyne Bar is my favourite place to go for a drink at the minute.

Outside of fashion, what’s your biggest hobby or favourite thing to do?

I like exploring and keeping active, so I’m into climbing and going to the gym. I also like buying overpriced coffee and people watching.  

What’s your favourite piece from the E by UrlfreezeShops collection and why?

Probably the Levi’s Type II denim jacket. I think it’s great for summer, the wash is super wearable as well.

My name’s Ben, I’m 19 and I’m a part time service adviser here at UrlfreezeShops Newcastle.

What’s your earliest fashion memory that started your love of clothing

Probably growing up — I always remember the Supreme box logos. That culture was huge when I was younger, so YEEZYs, shoes like that were what everyone wanted to wear.  

What’s your favourite spot in Newcastle to visit and why?

I really like Tynemouth, especially going for a walk along Kind Edward’s Bay where there’s loads of nice bars and restaurants.  

Outside of fashion, what’s your biggest hobby or favourite thing to do?

I play football for Newcastle Uni, playing four times a week. I really enjoy doing that with my friends. I study Maths at the university and I’ve just passed my first year there. 

What’s your favourite piece from the E by UrlfreezeShops collection and why?

I would definitely go for the Levi’s E by UrlfreezeShops 568 jeans — the light wash is really nice and just goes with everything.
