Presenting a visual history of seating from 1800 to the the present day, "Chair Times" examines 125 chairs from the Collection of the Vitra Design Museum throughout the course of the 90 minute film. Produced by Hook Films & Kultur Produktion GmbH in co-operation with the Vitra Design Musuem, Heinz Bütler directs this journey through Vitra's storied history in chairs.

Featuring interviews with designers such as Hella Jongerius, Antonio Citterio and Ronan Bouroullec, and architects and collectors Arthur Rüegg and Ruggero Tropeano, "Chair Times" documents the cultural importance of chairs, what they signify about a specific moment in time and how they can be regarded as important historical artefacts.
