When New Balance and Jaden Smith first partnered in 2020 to create the Vision Racer, it was bold. And it’s the same now with this pair, both in terms of its colourway and construction. They’re inspired by two of the multihyphenate’s favourite sneakers — the X-Racer and 1700 — with exaggerated design lines, a super-chunky sole and, this made around, rainbow hues used across the uppers. Of course, though, it isn’t all just aesthetics — Jaden Smith is involved here, after all — with eco-minded materials throughout, from synthetic suede to part-recycled mesh and EVA foam.
