Approaching its 20-year anniversary, the Air Max Plus is tuning into one of its original colourways with the release of the “Sunset”. Born in 1998, the TN has transcended its original purpose as a runner to become a cultural icon and sneaker phenomenon. Originally designed by industry veteran Sean McDowell, the Air Max Plus owes its distinctive look to a Floridian sunset; recalling how the TN was brought to life: “As soon as I heard ‘sky,’ I was like, ‘Oh my god, I just saw this amazing sky in Florida”. Two decades since the silhouette first hit the shelves, Nike bring back the vibrancy of the OG, with an orange and fiery red fade decorating the textile uppers. A cage mirroring the wave of palm trees in the wind, this memorable re-release highlights the signature hexagonal branding on the tongue, while keeping the ‘Tuned’ Air underfoot.
