In the last few years, an entirely new version of the Nike Air Force 2 Low has been a permanent fixture in the Nike SB collection. After being released in different iterations, this new design surfaces in these rather familiar shades: Gucci’s very own colour scheme of red and green.

The Air Force 2 was launched as a basketball shoe in 1986 and it was worn by the famous American player Charles Barkley. It has since been a mainstay in the market for three whole decades. This year, the AF2 marks yet another phase in the entire line of various models such as the “East vs. West” collection of Nike SB. The said collection was also included in a collaboration with Supreme, becoming one of the most unique and underrated lines from the famous skate division of the Swoosh brand.

These new low-top sneakers from the skate division have a black upper made of premium suede and leather as well as a huge heel clip that represents both elegance and functionality. On top of the sturdy base are the recognizable Gucci colours: red on the eyestays, Swoosh, and heel branding, and green on the laces as well as the plastic accent with ridges distracted on the midfoot.

On the tongue is a Nike SB logo with a gold touch for that sophisticated look, and a plain white midsole that complements the overall vibe. The heel portion is loaded with Zoom Air, plus it boasts of an outsole in three colours that adds a final touch to the entire design.
