The "Great White" by New Balance and Shoe Palace Is a Homage to the Predator of the Ocean
New Balance adds two more versions with Shoe Palace to the list of collaborative sneakers. The Californian retailer and New Balance took inspiration Corti "California's Red Triangle" and the great white shark to create two 997S models.
The coast in northern California is known for the high number of shark attacks. More than 1/3 of the great white shark attacks on humans in the United States take place there. Since Shoe Palace is located in that area, the retailer is creating a tribute to the predator that virtually represents the dangerous area.
The details of the two models are very identical. A black/blue-green colour scheme dresses the entire upper, which is strongly reminiscent of the San Jose Sharks jerseys. The base also serves as a background for a frightening detail with fangs. At the back, we see the gaping throat of a shark with pointed white triangles, and the "N" brandings in the middle have a two-colour print with breaking waves.
Will the Shoe Palace x New Balance 997S "Great White" Collection Also Drop in Europe?
At the moment, the Shoe Palace x New Balance 997S "Great White" collection will only drop in the USA. It is possible that some models will end up at StockX.
