The Nike LeBron 9 won’t make an official release until tomorrow, when the ‘China’ colorway drops overseas, but we’ve already seen a healthy share of upcoming colorways that have boiled up the excitement around LeBron’s ninth signature shoe. The ‘Cannon’ colorway was the first high energy, non-‘in-line’ edition of the LeBron 9 we laid eyes on, and a quick connection to the Miami Hurricanes was made for its apparent Green/Orange colorway. However, Nike’s ‘Cannon’ color designation is more of a light aqua blue with a slight green tint, which actually shines through when paired with the orange. The ‘Cannon’ is actually inspired by Elgin Air Force Base – the location of the Miami Heat training camp prior to the 2010-11 season.
