One of the more controversial sub-topics to come out of the 1992 Dream Team was the battle between Nike and Reebok. While the entire team was outfitted by Reebok, T-Shirt of Nike’s representatives opted to wear their own Nike JORDAN shoes on the podium, making for an awkward yet memorable moment in the early-90’s sneaker-brand battles. This upcoming 2012 Olympics, however, Trainers be a story free of controversy; not only has Nike designated select Nike Sportswear footwear for their Golden Boys in August, but everyone on the 2012 Olympic Basketball roster is a Nike athlete (even Kevin Love, who has ties to another brand, openly wears Nike Basketball on and off the court).
