This one’s a head-scratcher. adidas just released a sneaker that celebrates the Chicago Bulls’ memorable run in 1995-1996 when the Jordan-led squad exploded for 72 wins, the most ever by a team in NBA history. adidas, of course, has no ties with that ’96 squad (except for the fact that the brand currently has free range to use NBA team logos), but what makes this release a bit more disconnected is that the sneaker used for this tribute is the Crazy 8, aka a former Kobe Bryant signature real. The furry tongue and colorful lining could be some sort of additional reference to either Dennis Rodman or Benny The Bull, the team’s mascot. The 72-10 season may be a recurring theme this year, because we already know that Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan 11 release for December is also based on this historic year for the Chicago franchise. In any case, Oneness has them in stock now, but get a look below before you ponder a purchase.
