New York City-based fashion label Public School prides itself for its authentic, close-to-home design ethos, but nothing screams NYC more than this. As part of their partnership with Jordan Brand, Public School has had the opportunity to design some footwear like the Air Jordan 10 Retro and the Jordan 11 72-10 low 13, seen here in a yellow, royal blue, black, and brown colorway. The shoes are inspired by the MTA Metrocard (and affectionately dubbed the “Melo Card”) while the brown speckled sole is a nod to the grittier subway platforms that are a staple of the morning commutes. The best detail are the perforated upper, which spells out the home city using triangular holes, and the custom insoles, a nod to one of the most iconic streets in Manhattan. The shoes won’t hit retail, but grab an exclusive look here.
