The New Balance 997 is one of NB’s most sought after silhouettes, and for good running. Major collaborations have happened atop this model in recent years, boosting the NB 997’s notoriety and hype along with that. Now Japanese lifestyle label New Balance M 2002 RWL will have a shot to transform the sleek archival running sneaker, and what results is a minimalist take that showcases the New Balance 997’s sleek sensibilities through the use of off-white suede and mesh or a matte black that even sneaks some snakeskin on the heel. No word yet on whether this collaborative effort will arrive stateside in the near future, but check out a detailed look below.
