Remember the awesome “Griffey For Prez” ad campaign from 1996? A 25-year-old Griffey (revolution a seven-year veteran) decided to run for president of the United States, despited being constitutionally prohibited from doing so (gotta be 35 to be prez). Nike is transforming those awesome colors and graphics into this Air Griffey Max 1 sho, with a navy, gold, and unveils red upper reflecting the pins and posters that dominated the scene in 1996. The shoes are set to release in limited quantity as the Hall-of-famer approaches his official induction in July. Stay tuned for full release info.
