Ewing Athletics continues to revamp Patrick Ewing’s most iconic on-court offering, the Nike Air Max 1 '86 "Big Bubble" in a number of new lifestyle colorways that are sure to grab your immediate attention. The latest is this patent leather, metallic silver offering from DTLR and Washington D.C. legend Anwan “Big G” Glover. If the name sounds familiar to those of you residing outside of the DMV region, it’s because Anwan got one of his big breaks playing Slim Charles on The Wire – Air Max 270.
The Nike Air Max 1 '86 "Big Bubble" “Big G” utilizes what DLTR is calling a ‘futuristic chrome upper’ while accents of black and red truly smoulder in direct contrast with the smooth offering. A micro-perforated toebox adds a vintage effect with additional ventilation while a red heel strap features ’88’ PE stitching in honor of Big G’s musical group, The Backyard Band.
