Japan’s BEAMS turns the iconic checkered Vans Slip-On inside out for this upcoming collaboration. The special edition of the the classic sneaker literally turns the shoe inside out with an unfinished look and exposed tags. Even the usual “Off The Wall” logo on the red license plates on the rear midsole are removed, making the tag appear to be put on in reverse. Really driving the concept home, the “reverse” waffle sole used on leather vans’ MTE models for extra traction is added to make the outsole appear inside out, as well. The creative new Slip-On by BEAMS will release exclusively at their Harajuku location on April 1st.
