Pope John Francis was blessed with some special gifts from Michigan Wolverines coach Jim Harbaugh, who got the chance to meet the Pope in person after a service earlier today. Included in this gift set was a Michigan Wolverines helmet with the number 266, denoting John Francis as the 266th Pope in history, as well as a pair of the Air Jordan 5 “Michigan” PE in navy and yellow.
The Wolverines visited the Vatican wearing suits and walking single file into a designated section, while coach Harbaugh and his family were given seats closer to the Pope. According to Jeff Seidel of the Detroit Press, it was not clear just how long the Pope met with the coach due to media restrictions. The Pope also met with Jim’s wife Sarah and their son Jay.
