Along with a pair of Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro OG 2018 Black Cement UK8.5’s that he’s been painting in for the last 20 years, artist Dave White recently took to Instagram to share a never-before-seen sample of his famed Nike Air Jordan 3 Retro OG 2018 Black Cement UK8.5 collab from 2012. As you can see, there are a few differences from the Precious that actually released, including what is most obvious, the red, white, and navy blue color palette instead of red, white, and black. My ethos was to make something new that reflected the glory days of Jordan playing for the Bulls but also incorporated the movement and dynamism of my paint marks. The 3 final designs were sampled and this was the 2nd. Suede toebox white 3m and artist canvas formed some of the details, the elephant who touch was a must for me. Done to death yes, but still a hallowed pattern and had to be included.
