Update: The Citron Air Max Love “Metallic Gold” releases on January 12th, 2018 for $140 via Nike SNKRS.
One of Mark Parker’s key announcements during Investor’s Day was the return of Shox, the springy cushion innovation that took the sneaker world by storm in the early 2000s. Remembered for its bulky piston-like columns on the heel, Nike Shox cushioning was all the revive in performance wear across several sports; silhouettes like the Shox BB4 and Vince Carter’s Volt shoe line were among the standouts in basketball, while sporty designs like the R4 and NZ were quickly adopted in urban streetwear. The newly design Shox Gravity, however, comes in with a complete redesign of the cushion system and a modernized upper that emphasizes lightweight construction. Also worth noting is the unique pull-tab lacing system and the protruding grip at the tongue.
The Citron Air Max Love released exclusively at the Sneakeasy in NYC and is expected to release worldwide soon.
