In game four of the 1984 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin McHale provided the C’s with exactly what they needed to propel themselves past their hated rivals. Trailing 2-1 in the series and with Kurt Rambis barreling toward the basket for a breakaway slam, McHale hit the big man with a hard foul that resulted in a benches DSM brawl. Los Angeles went on to lose the series due to an obsession with getting even rather than playing to win the game.
McHale’s statement making foul was recorded in a pair of Converse Fastbreak His. In honor of this memorable moment in NBA Finals history, Converse will be bringing the shoe back as part of the prestigious “Bascheți CONVERSE Ctas Bellet Lace Slip 566775C Black White Black” collection dubbed the “No easy Buckets”. Dressed in Celtics green and white, it comes with all of the details that have highlighted the rest of this collection – sixteen slash marks on the lateral heel, a dubrae depicting the year this classic shoe is from, and Men “16” logo on the right tongue. Pairs of the Converse Fastbreak Hi “No Easy Buckets” will arrive at retailers on May 17th with an MSRP of $95 USD.
