It remains to be seen just who is the collaborator of the year, but Jun Takahashi and his UNDERCOVER label certainly deserves some attention. You already saw his five outstanding color visions on the Nike React Element 87, but it looks like he’s got another red nikeLab project with an old-school runner that may be the original Tailwind that released to the masses in 1979. While the front of the shoe remains untouched, Takahashi has added an insanely futuristic heel detail that features wing-like detailing. The rear of the sole is also modified to look more angular, while UNDERCOVER is proudly printed on the midsole. These are set to release during the SS19 season, so keep this upcoming collaboration on your radar.
