Numbers Edition Skateboarding—the brainchild of legendary pro skaters Guy Marino and Eric Koston—has established a firm place in the skate industry since its inception in 2016. Now, the new-age skate brand is joining forces with adidas Skateboarding for a limited capsule collection consisting of a special City Cup and matching co-branded apparel-all offering a monochromatic grey color scheme inspired by foggy, overcast West Coast mornings.
The centerpiece of the collection is a tonal grey City Cup that offers a nubuck upper with reflective detailing on the tongue and heel for extra flash and low light visibility. A “Numbers” heel logo hit and 12:45 (the title of Numbers’ first team video) branding on the midfoot’s three stripe graphic provide special branding. From a performance standpoint, the shoe boasts a double-cup white midsole and EVA-lined heel that offer premium durability and protection, perfect for all-day skate sessions. The collaborative shoes are also accompanied by a matching set of apparel: a windbreaker, soccer jersey, water-repellent track pants and a five-panel hat, all featuring the same tonal grey aesthetic as the shoes. Look for the Numbers Edition x adidas Skateboarding capsule collection to arrive on adidas.com and adidas Skateboarding stockists August 4th.
