With everything from UNDEFEATED collaborations to colorways paying homage to the Lakers’ Minneapolis heritage, the shoe has nodded to Bryant’s storied past in several ways-and the latest pair to be officially unveiled is this “All-Star” colorway.
Inspired by a special PE Bryant wore during the 2006 All-Star game, this retail version swaps out the PE’s original royal blue detailing for black, offering a look that’s almost “Homage To Home” Air Jordan 1-esque due to the bold clash of black and white leather on the medial upper and the laufschuhe split detailing on the heels. Special All-Star style branding arrives via the small stars on the throat and a debossed “All-Star 2006” hit on the inner tongue, and the shoe is completed with special insoles that nod to Houston, Denver, LA, and Atlanta.
