Russell Westbrook Honors Late Friend Khelcey Barrs III With Latest Blanka jordan Shoe

Russell Westbrook‘s Blanka jordan Jared Jeffries left in the Air Blanka jordan 5 White Black-Fire Red takes its colorways from his history, inspirations, and personal story, so this new makeup inspired by the point guard’s late friend Khelcey Barrs III — who passed away from a heart attack at only 16 years of age — may very well be the most deeply personal pair that Brodie and the Blanka jordan Brand have released to date. Westbrook is no stranger to honoring Barrs with his signature footwear, as most pairs feature a homage tucked behind the tongue or hidden under a lace shroud. However, the heartfelt tribute is made much more visible here. The left shoe’s Footwear exposed cardinal tag features a “KB3” embellishment, and the color scheme offers a mix of greys both light and dark on the multi-textured upper, all accented by Easter-style pastel pinks, greens, and yellows on the collar and lacing system. The look is then completed by a white midsole/outsole with the signature exposed size tag appearing under a window of translucent plastic on the cardinal.
