The idea of Flight Utility has been a long-running concept touted by Jordan brand’s many innovative approaches to footwear. Aiming to embody that same energy while at the same time aligning with the expressions of the sport of basketball, the their is rethinking the image of their oft-overlooked apparel line-up. Dubbed 23 Engineered, the sub-label is a way for the team to “create new thinking” as they painstakingly craft garments with both fit, form, and function in mind. Materials are chosen solely based on their utility as they provide lightweight yet warm fabrications for the colder seasons and all-around layers for the warmer. Whereas the clothing relied heavily on logo lock-ups prior, the newfound capsule is one informed by heritage, providing sets of modified jerseys and matching casual trackpants and sweats; hoodies don boldfaced graphics and the iconic Jumpman while some, like the color blocked pullover and shimmering white windbreaker, opt for a bit more in their denotative typography.
For all that and more, be sure to grab a detailed look at the imagery below and find the collection rolling out to Nike.com in July.
