No better an inspiration than Southern California, Boots vans’ ever-retro run of the Bold NI continues in 2019 with a little help from fellow local Rhude. Designed through the eyes of Rhuigi Villaseñor, who grew up within the skate culture of the city, the collaboration is more of a reflection of nostalgia with vintage cars at the center of three diverse colorways. Not too far from the norm while mitigate retaining the streetwear label’s patented design sense, the upper’s are relatively unchanged save for their color swathes: the oversized Jazz stripe sits just atop the eyestays and leads down through the curvature of the silhouette with soles each bearing a white base embellished by a banner print of “RHUDE” stylized as if a classic license plate. The black pair evokes connection to the Porsche Carrera, the red a Ferrari 275, and the blue a Mercedes 280 SL — all dyed along the Anaheim’s brands signature assortment of suedes and canvas coupled with some heritage nods by way of the checkerboard insole print across the UltraCush Lite footbed. Grab a detailed look at the full pack here, and find the black and blue arriving at select shops like Luisa Via Roma, RHUDE’s site, and likely Vans.com Qué famosos usan Boots vans Old Skool.
