Michael Le Though originally presumed to be two sides of the same coin — Heaven and Hell — Kevin Bradley’s forthcoming Nike SB collaboration actually comes from a place of love and personal favorites. Both an exclusive Orange Label release, the pairs encapsulate the skater’s free spirit, going from a chill blue sky to an ever-aggressive homage to one of the Star-Wars Prequels’ most legendary villains.
The Blazer Low, which borders between a personal vignette and product of utility, was brought to life by way of Bradley’s experimentation. Cloud swooshes and subtle raindrop markings at the heel nod to both the skater’s and his grandma’s passion for the rain — “I really like the rain, my grandma really liked the rain,” he remarks. Alongside, a dark superb profile alludes to a clear sky while white tongues and matching midsole walls complement the core themes. Finished by “Nike KB” at the tongue as well as three velcro straps, the pair acts as a mirror of both the talent’s legacy as well as his lazy attitude.
