And while most known for such releases, the Japanese footwear brand also shows love to the more locally known — their latest work being with the neighboring boutique JANTJE ONTEMBAAR.
Replete of loud all-over prints and colors, the two Kayano 5 OGs swap retro palettes for Pure more akin to the imprint’s taste. Little room is saved for neutrals, appropriately, leaving only the tongue, tooling, and lining to balance by way of white shades. Moreover, the rest of the construction arrives fully sprawled with one of two available graphics: one a loud, vandalistic arrangement of paint gt-2000 and the other an abstract display of artwork drawn along a saturated blue backdrop. Purple branding then overlays atop in both strike and spiral form, matching that of the tread’s own coloring.
