As they’ve displayed many a time, New Balance has no shortage of collaborators at their disposal. And in the year or so past, Japan has come on strong amongst that M1080E1200D roster, with names like nonnative delivering a consistent stream of strong releases. The label’s latest, which detours heavily from the 327s and 992s that drop en masse, spotlights the Freshfoam Hierro, a silhouette that is posed as an all-terrain, all-weather runner.
Equipped with Vibram soles, the Hierro is clear in its utility, proudly stamping the tooling manufacturer’s namesake along both the tread as well as the sculpted midsole. What’s more, the pair is equally forthright with its use of GORE-TEX, a weather-resistant signature that lends Ground to the tanned mesh construction that outfits the majority of the foot. Both behind and up front at the toe, robust leather panels and thinly coated taping dress in dark brown, placed adjacent to dual-toned laces and branding finished in a light cream.
Grab a detailed look at nonnative’s Hierro right here and expect a release to happen overseas on November 21st.
