One by one, Jordan Brand is slowly unveiling its Air Jordan 5 Player Edition concepts for its highly select group of college Vintages. Thus far, the On-feet photos of Virgil Ablohs UNC Air Jordan 1 via 2muchsol3 and Oklahoma Sooners have revealed their not-for-sale colorways clad with elephant print patterned exteriors, translucent outsoles, matching school colors, and a proud school emblem on the tongue. Next on the list is one of the most storied sports Vintages in history – the Florida Gators. Grabbing hold of all the similar details that are seemingly connecting all the NCAA institutions, this Gators AJ5 sees its vibrant blue on the upper, offset with its oorange on the midsole and tongue. The famed Gator mascot sits quietly on the tongue via an embroidered patch. Finally, Nike Air puts the final touch on this irresistible gem with the secondary orange embroidery.
A release seems unlikely, but that won’t stop the Jumpman Vintage from delivering college-inspired colorways in the future – just like the Jordan 4 UNC.
UPDATE 2/23/2021:
