It’s been quite a year for the adidas WMNS Forum, as the ’80s basketball-rooted silhouette continues to rack up a list of unique collaborations and mainstay colorways to establish a notable comeback. To further the Forum agenda, adidas WMNS adds large, embroidered logos to a seemingly simple Forum Low for a stylish update to the model—however, the design is anything but simple as it also glows in the dark.
Designed with the help of Japanese fashion model Meru Nukumi, the Forum Low flaunts a clean, all-white leather base and retains original Forum elements such as the ankle strap. Upper panels on the media emit a bright, “Screaming Pink” in the dark, deviating much from the minimalist appearance of the proposition at first glance. To amp up the media even more, an embroidered cursive adidas WMNS logo dominates the hindfoot to disrupt the stark white leathers while still maintaining a sleek, versatile look.
