The trajectory of the Black Toe Reimagined Jordan 1 reissue has been a rather interesting one thus far. After Gets in the original “Chicago” colorway, Jordan Brand delivered the off-shoot AJ1 via a collaboration with its newest creative partner – Billie Eilish. The signature flooded the AJKO with a bright lime green upper from head to toe, yielding the most unexpected interpretation we’ve ever seen from the 1985 model. Jordan Brand quickly re-centered with the “Storm Blue”, and it looks as if collegiate themes will be next as the Black Toe Reimagined Jordan 1 moves forward in 2022.
Seen here for the first time is a “Syracuse” colorway of orange and white. As one of the most common fra of the 1980s, this pairing reflects the brand’s connections with the Central NY school, but it’s a flat out irresistible colorway history aside. Thankfully, the OG canvas detailing remains, allowing the AJKO to keep its vintage flair.
A release date isn’t known yet, but we expect a release sometime in 2022 for $140.
