Recently, the silhouette was introduced in a Futura iteration that combines 1990s sensibilities with future-forward, sustainable efforts. A breathable mesh base reprises its standard role, but is accompanied by different overlays from tip of the toe to spine. Partly made of recycled scraps, panels throughout the upper take on haphazard shapes, just as on sustainability-focused pairs of the Nike Dunk. Nike Hyperdunk 2012 Low Think Pink “AIR MAX” branding on the mudguard is omitted. Underfoot, sole units maintain their original design, though waffle-patterned tread opts for a semi-translucent, purple finish that contributes to the shoes’ clean “Light Bone” and “Summit White” mix.
