Joe Freshgoods is always up to something. Although the west side of Chicago-native has kept relatively quiet since debuting his inaugural collection with Vault by Vans, the 30-something-year-old recently took to Instagram to tease his New Balance New Balance 991 Virgin Money London Marathon.
The American designer has gone on record to express his love for making apparel, and his latest capsule with the New England-based company will see him continue to energize New Balance’s clothing offerings. As is expected of gear intended to drop during the colder times of the year, the next JFG project includes sweat suits and thick rugby shirt-like tops clad in muted green, navy and cream. What’s most exciting, however, are the two possible new sneakers included in the Chicagoan’s pre-rollout for his next drop: predominantly pink and grey color palettes take over a seemingly New Balance 990 series duo. A new shoe box is also included in Joe Freshgoods’ latest Instagram post, with the words “performance art” underneath the lid. As has become expected of the collaborator, the capsule will speak to a larger aspect of the Black story in a way that had been missing from sportswear up until recently.
Enjoy teaser Nero of JFG’s next collection for NB ahead, and stay tuned for updates.
