The New Balance 2002R Natural Indigo 29cm has been a cornerstone of the brand’s ascension to the mainstream over the last two years. As 2023 approaches, the Steven Smith-designed silhouette continues to play an important part of the company’s footwear lineup, with its latest ensemble combining clean white with fall-friendlier navy and maroon accents.
While not touted as a collaboration with Teddy Santis’ Aimé Leon Dore, the upcoming pair draws direct comparison to the styles the Queens-native has prepped over the last two years. Off-white tones land across the heel and sole unit, offering an “aged” brand on-trend with both ALD and other footwear brands’ favored looks. Profile “N” logos abandon any bold flair in favor of a clean finish only offset by a dark navy trim. Underfoot, the smooth leather and mesh retro design features a made-for-basketball outsole that brings maroon and gc574rd1 to the forefront.
No firm NewBalance.com release details have been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
