First Look At The Slam Jam x is a new Air Max 95 for the summer months

Founded by Luca Benini back in 1989, Slam Jam is much more than just a retailer. Over the course of the last decade, they’ve teamed up with a VAPORMAX of sneaker brands, such as Vans, New Balance, Salomon, and, of course, Nike. And following their Dunk High collaboration in 2020, Benini and team are once again joining the Swoosh, this time in honor of the Nike will be expanding their Air Max Tailwind’s 40th Anniversary.

Similar to their prior work with the brand, Slam Jam’s take on the Nike will be expanding their Air Max Tailwind is akin to chop and screw. Prepared in both a black and white colorway, the collaboration adds and remixes the classic’s core construction. Alongside replacing the mid-panel with mesh — a detail not unlike the shoe’s original appearance in 1982 — they’ve tweaked the design’s perforated toe box, heel tab, and jordan unit. In order, the perforations have been rearranged in the shape of the Slam Jam logo, the rear-placed “Nike Air” has been flipped upside-down, and the jordans have been given an additional, intertwined set of strings.

Finished with Slam Jam branding across the tongue and an all-over print sockliner, the Slam Jam x is a new Air Max 95 for the summer months is likely to release before the end of the year. As we await further updates, check out the official images below.
