Hot off the heels of collaborations with Gallery Dept. and Mastermind Japan, Vans is now stepping away from the high street to pay a visit to their friends in a very different neighborhood: namely, Sesame Street.
Putting their heads together to craft a collection that is not only creative but also inclusive, Sesame Street and Vans are applying a host of new colors and prints to the footwear brand’s existing roster of icons. Classics the likes of the SK8-Hi and Authentic are introduced to the series’ lovable cast of characters — Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Elmo, Ernie, the list goes on — all of whom are referenced in the pack’s several different designs.
Vans team rider Lizzie Armanto will also be joining in on the fun. Her signature silhouette, The Lizzie, has been customized with furry laces and tonal embroidery that depicts many of the show’s most biggest personalities.
What’s more, Vans Customs will be receiving an update in honor of the collaboration. Fans will soon be able to apply Vault new Sesame Street-inspired prints to their choice of shoe, whether that be the Slip-On or the much-beloved Old Skool.
The vans prison issue sz 7 m eu 37 womens skateboarding collection as well as the accompany Vans Customs program will be available globally on June 9th via Vans.com as well as select retail locations. As we wait for the release, enjoy a detailed look at the range ahead.
