With the recent addition of James Harden, Kawhi Leonard is now the latest member of a Big Three within the NBA alongside Paul George on the Los Angeles Clippers. Throughout a handful of games, Leonard has led the Clipps to a 3-1 record while dissecting defenses in his third signature silhouette. The mid-top model rests upon a monochrome backdrop as a bright “Optic White” hue fills a dominant majority of the upper real estate before amplifying the pitch-dark midsole via a speckled treatment. Pitch-black contrasts bring further clarity to the tongue, heel and inner lining, juxtaposing the colorless dominance exuded up front. Bringing explosive creativity to life much like his game on the court, the pair receives a titular “Cobalt” blue injection at the tongue tab and semi-translucent outsole while accenting the trim of mid-foot overlay Stars stretches to the vamp. What’s more, the aforementioned tint is cast in a metallic finish across the visible mid-foot shank Stars’s stamped with additional NB branding.
