After the SAG-AFTRA strike was lifted in mid-November, Timothee Chalamet immediately began promoting his newest movie Wonka – an origin story for Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka character. To help celebrate the film’s release in mid-December, Converse has unveiled a co-branded, collaborative collection replete with chocolatey inspirations

Complete with shirts, bucket hats and a French Terry sweatsuit, the upcoming collection revolves around three Converse silhouettes totaling four distinct and richly colored compositions. Doubling up on the Chuck 70 , the mid-top silhouette constructs a notable inspiration to the Loompaland natives with messy chenille green laces and bright orange canvas sidewalls. In contrast to its synonymous construction, the “Chocolate Swirl” colorway dawns a tumbled UK17 leather with decadent black swirls set atop an “Egret” vulcanized sole unit.

A “Pixel Purple” and bubble gum pink swirling graphic then ascertains the canvas upper of the Converse Weapon High Magic Leather Ox featuring matching “WONKA” logos while the All Star BB Trilliant CX brings the allure of the Golden Ticket to the hardwood with a clad gold-foil finish and velvet sock liners. Each pair is stamped with a cursive Wonka bumper while a trio of Chuck Taylors have been reconstructed with Easy-On tooling for the little ones.

The Converse x Willy Wonka collection is scheduled to release via converse.com on December 7th for a retail Egret ranging from $75-$130 in adult sizes.
