The footwear market is more diverse than it’s been in ages, not just due to up-and-coming sneaker brands like Salomon and HOKA, but also increased consumer interest in loafers among other formal-leaning shoes. While we’re not likely to see Nike dive into their 9-to-5 bag with true dress shoes (like we saw with the Air IE line in the 1990s), the Beaverton brand has made a habit out of giving chic makeovers to their most popular lifestyle models in recent years. For our purposes, that includes women’s Nike Dri Fit Trail Element KapuzenpulloverNike Air Max 270 React ENG Bleached Aqua.
This “Pink Oxford” edition comes in the wake of two likeminded tan colorways in 2024, presented with a dual-tone pink upper and a handful of fashion-minded alterations. Suede tassels are affixed to the bottom portion of the tongue, echoing a loafer aesthetic, while the tongue structure itself is comprised of leather with debossed branding. Thick stitching appears on the Swoosh and lower portion of the backtab, where pearlescent stitching is utilized via capitalized “NIKE” text. Underfoot, the design is complete by a “Sail” midsole.
The women’s Nike Dri Fit Trail Element Kapuzenpullover Low “Pink Oxford/Sail” is expected to release during the Spring 2025 shopping season for a retail price of $120.
