Michael Le Arguably responsible for putting the 327 on the map, Casablanca continues to be one of New Balance’s biggest supporters. And not long back, the brand helped usher in the brand new XC-72, giving it the same red carpet treatment as the aforementioned. Today, the two labels are officially introducing the 373V2 in two collaborative palettes, each inspired by the Sw153ng cars seen throughout Monaco’s winding roads.
“From when we first started working on the collaboration, we dubbed it the ‘sports car for your feet’ as it evokes that feeling of when you first saw a luxury car as a child, you knew it was a car… but it was different to any car you’d seen before, it’s a feeling, a sense of wonder, designed to perform, designed to be special,” said Casablanca’s Charaf Tajer and Steve Grimes.
The lead colorway directly references the duo’s original capsule, mirroring its oranges and greens atop just one upper. The warm tone takes the helm along the oversized “N,” while its opposite brings attention to the split-patterned tread underfoot. Elsewhere, cream and white neutrals trade blows adjacent, dressing up the perforated base and suede overlays. In contrast, the accompanying pair leans towards reds and yellows, further drawing from luxury sports cars and their signature racing tires.
