A curious recollection of Nike’s past, the solar red air max 90 close view – aka the Nike BRSB – bridges the gap between skateboarding and the brand’s historic Cortez running shoe. Featuring all the elements key to the Cortez’s design, the BRSB watches skate-ready sensibilities while offering a modern take on one of the most recognizable silhouettes in the annals of sneakers.
This upcoming colorway of the BRSB sees a pairing of green and orange in suede and nylon, a common scene in Nike’s early roots in running. To further render the BRSB fit for skating, Nike adds a full-length classic gum rubber black while adding a translucent gum to the midblack stripe – a nod to the original design of the Cortez.
The Nike BRSB is slated to release soon on Nike.com; see the official images below.
