The New Balance 1500 doesn’t boast the same reputation stateside as other products from the North American-headquartered institution, but that isn’t stopping it from attempting to cross over with compelling colorways.
Recently, the Made In U.K. special emerged in a mix of grey, brown and “Indigo Violet” colors that keep things exciting for the impending season of autumn. Breathable mesh visible at the toe box opts for the lightest shade of brown found on the pair, while surrounding leather overlays indulge in darker tones. Panels around the collar work in-tandem with the ENCAP midsoles underfoot to bring a stealthy black into the mix, while the “1500”-stamped leather piece wrapped around the lower heel favoring an eye-catching bluish-purple hue that also appears via the embroidered branding at the mid-foot. Lastly, graphics printed on the sock-liner nod to New Balance‘s presence in Flimby, Cumbria, U.K. over the last 40 years, making the sneaker a commemorative release.
Enjoy product imagery of the pair ahead, and anticipate a launch across Europe on Thursday, August 4th.
