Michael Le Lately, JJJJound has received even more criticisms for their supposed lack of originality. That, however, hasn’t stopped anyone from picking up any of the Montreal-based studio’s footwear propositions, from their earlier ASICS GEL-KAYONO 14s to their more recent team-up with the Puma Suede. It’s almost confirmed that their latest with New Balance, a pair of 991s, is sure to sell out quickly as well — especially considering the fact that it’s heavily reminiscent of their first collaboration with the brand.
Leaked in great detail, JJJJound’s upcoming New Balance NB NUMERIC 272 Black Met White En Red — which is currently expected to release during the peak of the holiday season — combines multigenerous earth tones, many of the same ones used back in 2018 for their 990v3s. The design does, however, subtly differentiate itself from the latter by way of its neighboring fixtures: the sole adds an additional touch of cream; the silver hits are dark, almost tarnished; and the branding, from the “N” logo to the adjacent embroidery, are near completely blacked out.
