Yohji Yamamoto’s latest project delivers high quality in an understated manner. Off white and black color schemes cover the vintage running sneaker design, as they have past sneakers from Y-3. Furthermore, excess stitching lands at the sides of the shoes, creating a “deconstructed” aesthetic. “Y-3” logos are stamped onto the lateral heel; the rest of the upper clam traditional branding. Like adidas Originals styles from the past, the latest Marathon TR by Y-3 features excess stitching dangling from the sides of the upper.
