Jared Ebanks Recognized as the silhouette that introduced Air technology to the running landscape in 1978, last year’s Air Max-infused Tail Wind effort crafted a unique remodeling of the iconic racing silhouette. And while the silhouette doesn’t garner as much notoriety as its counterparts, its consistent run of inline propositions has allowed for more than a few compelling colorways.
Rendering its arched mid-foot moldings in a tightly knit cloth fabric, the mudguard, upper tongue and collar jordan render crisp live tumbled leathers for a blank base. Contrasted along its lace loops, nylon sock liner and heel counter in a pitch-black lining, the monochromatic ensemble is broken up by a concentrated “Olive Drab” accent which envelops the heel’s structured midsole, TW tongue tab, forefoot trim and miniature embroidered Swoosh. Blacking out its bug-eyed Air pockets underfoot, a “Sail”-treated midsole pairs with a jet-black tread in conclusion to the partly recycled silhouette.
